Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, the Director-General of the World Trade Organization, has provided an explanation for why she tweeted photos of President Bola Tinubu and herself from the finance conference in Paris so late.
She said that she shared pictures in the sequence that her coworkers or accompanying personnel sent them to her.
The WTO administrator posted pictures of some of the presidents she met during the event on Twitter on Friday.
Internet users criticized her for not uploading a photo of herself with Tinubu after she uploaded.
On Saturday, she did, however, post photos with Tinubu and other presidents.
She responded to the criticism by tweeting, "Nigerians please relax! Re: Paris, Interesting attacks from both sides sadly show the depth of polarisation in our society.
"I post photos in the order received by accompanying staff or colleagues. Reading more into it is unwarranted. Let’s unite to build our country not attack!"
