Toni Kroos, a midfielder for Real Madrid, has made fun of Eden Hazard, a former teammate.

The Belgian, who made £400,000 a week at the LaLiga club, "let his career die" at the Bernabeu, according to Kroos.

If you remember, the Los Blancos acquired Hazard from Chelsea in 2019 for £88 million.

His four years in Spain, however, came to an end last week when Madrid cancelled his contract.

In 76 games for Real Madrid, Eden Hazard managed only seven goals.

At the age of 32, Hazard is apparently thinking about retiring after ending his international career during Belgium's 2022 World Cup campaign.

Kroos, a nine-year Real Madrid player who has won three La Liga championships and four Champions League medals.

After Jude Bellingham's stunning six-year transfer to the Bernabeu was made official on Wednesday, the Germany international seemed to make reference to the Belgian failure while issuing a warning to him.

The Los Blancos have previously announced the acquisition of Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund for $100 million.

“We had another player who came for a lot of money and basically let his career die,” Kroos said on his podcast Einfach mal Luppen.

“It was a lot of money, I think everyone would say that wasn’t a good transfer. But let’s be positive.”
