"You cannot play in my team if you having s-ex four times in a month" - Atletico Madrid coach, Diego Simeone says

Manager of Atletico Madrid Diego Simeone made light of the fact that players who engage in sex simply a total of four times a month are ineligible to play for him.

With one game remaining this season, the 53-year-old Argentinian has led Atletico Madrid to at least a third-place finish in LaLiga. He has been the club's manager since 2011.

Simeone engaged in a lengthy conversation with Cadena COPE in which they covered a number of personal topics. 

According to reports, Simeone made the absurd assertion during the interview after the presenter highlighted research showing that the typical Spaniard engages in sexual activity 56 times each year.

Simeone replied: 'How many? 56... 56 a year... How many are a month? Four a month? Four a month no...

'With four times a month you can't play in my team.'

In June 2019, Simeone wed his model wife Carla Pereyra, and the two became parents to two girls.

Additionally, the Argentine has three professional footballing kids from his previous marriage.

Simeone said when the interviewers urged him for a more accurate figure, '15 a month? I'm not going to say... but we have a good average.'
