2023 FIFA Women's World Cup: Deborah Abiodun becomes first player to receive red card

19 years old Deborah Abiodun becomes the first player to be sent off in the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup 

The Super Falcons of Nigeria played a goalless draw against Canada in their group stage match at the Melbourne Rectangular stadium. 

The talented midfielder picked up a straight red card in the 90th-minute of the game. 

Following her suspension, Deborah Abiodun will miss Nigeria upcoming match against Australia.
