Arsenal new signing Jurrien Timber will wear shirt no 12 (Photos)

Jurrien Timber joins Arsenal from Ajax with £38.5 million.

The Netherlands international arrived in London on Friday afternoon, preparing to join his teammates for pre-season training in the United States. 

Jurrien Timber seemed to be delighted to be joining Mikel Arteta's squad, despite having turned down a move to Manchester United last summer. 

Erik Den Hag, Manchester United's coach, was said to be interested in reconnecting with Jurrien Timber at Old Trafford. 

However, Mikel Arteta and Arsenal's technical director Edu worked tirelessly to persuade Timber of the ongoing project at Arsenal. 

Meanwhile, Arsenal has stated that Jurrien Timber will wear shirt number 12, replacing William Saliba, who will wear number 2.
