Carlos Alcaraz defeats Djokovic in final of Wimbledon 2023

Carlos Alcaraz, 20 years old, beats Djokovic to win Wimbledon.

Following his win against Novak Djokovic, the 20-year-old Spaniard became the tournament's third youngest champion. 

Carlos Alcaraz recovered from a poor start and regained his stride down the stretch to halt Novak Djokovic's 34-match winning run at Wimbledon, defeating him 1-6, 7-6 (6), 6-1, 3-6, 6-4 in four hours and 42 minutes.

The Spaniard won his first All England Club title as well as his second Grand Slam overall.

Djokovic's 34-match winning run at Wimbledon was ended when he was defeated 1-6, 7-6 (6), 6-1, 3-6, 6-4 in a span of four hours and 42 minutes.

Djokovic have to wait now to secure what could be a record-tying eighth win, and fifth in a succession, at the All-England Club.
