Chelsea confirm Mason Mount exit after 18 years at the club

Mason Mount has announced his departure from Chelsea.

The 18-year veteran of the Stamford Bridge, where he began his career as an academy graduate, has departed the club. 

Mason Mount has agreed to sign a long-term contract with Manchester United, making him Erik Den Hag's first signing of the summer. 

Mount, whose contract has one year remaining, declined to sign a new extension. It was discovered that Chelsea was unable to agree to his weekly salary. 

Mason Mount, who won the UEFA Champions League in 2021, is shown on Chelsea's social media page with the trophy.
