Declan Rice and Jurrien Timber made their professional footballing debuts as Arsenal destroyed the MLS All-Stars 5-0 in Washington.
The two were seated on the sidelines at Audi Field and observed as the Gunners seized the lead against the Wayne Rooney-coached All-Stars with two outstanding goals in the first half.
After superb work by Bukayo Saka, the ball rolled to Gabriel Jesus on the outside of the box, and the Brazilian dunked an exquisite finish into the back of the net to open the score inside of five minutes.
After another impressive move down the right side, Saka squared the ball to Trossard, who rocketed his shot into the goal from 20 yards out to give Arsenal a two-goal lead before halftime.
Only 15 seconds had passed in the second half when the referee signaled to the location where Tim Parker should have been penalized for blocking Jesus' cross with his arm. Jorginho converted the conversion with his customary jump, making the score 3-0.
Midway through the first half, Mikel Arteta made six substitutions, two of which saw Rice and Timber make their Arsenal debuts. Both teams had easy victories, with Arsenal scoring two more goals at the opposite end of the game while remaining trouble-free defensively.
Prior to Kai Havertz scoring his first goal for the team by slamming home after chesting down Marquinhos' dinked ball, Gabriel Martinelli completed a brilliant pass from Martin Odegaard and delivered the finish.
