England Women's World Cup kit includes blue shorts because of period concerns

Due to concerns about periods, the New England women's world cup uniform has blue shorts.

After players raised period worries, England will choose blue shorts rather than white during the Women's World Cup this summer.

In the first Finalissima match against Brazil at Wembley on Thursday, the new home uniform will be worn for the first time.

Unlike the away uniform, which is entirely blue, it is white with blue accents and blue shorts.

Speaking up about their decision to wear white shorts during England's successful Euro 2022 campaign were players Beth Mead and Georgia Stanway.
