Havertz joined Mikel Arteta's team in a £65 million signing from Chelsea last month as they attempt to bolster a team that dominated the Premier League for the most of last season before losing in the closing weeks.
The 24-year-old joins from Chelsea, where he spent three years and made 139 appearances before scoring the game-winning goal in the 2021 Champions League final to permanently inscribe his name in Blues history.
Ramsdale responded to Kicker's inquiry on the deal as follows: 'It’s a very good signing.
‘Kai already has a lot of experience, he was captain in Leverkusen when he was very young. He’s an international player, has won the Champions League and scored in important games.
‘He can play in different positions, which will help the team. He’s also a tall boy, so he can also help with set-piece situations, which shouldn’t be underestimated in modern football.’
