Last night, against the MLS All-Stars, Kai Havertz scored his first goal for Arsenal, and captain Martin Odegaard couldn't be happier for him.
If you remember, Arsenal paid £65 million to acquire Kai Havertz from Chelsea during the summer transfer window.
In Washington, DC, Mikel Arteta assembled a potent squad against Wayne Rooney's team. The Gunners were the overwhelming favorites to win the match, and they made history by defeating the MLS All-Stars to record the largest victory by a foreign team.
Arsenal took a 4-0 lead with to goals from Gabriel Jesus, Leandro Trossard, Jorginho, and Gabriel Martinelli before Kai Havertz made it 5-0 and put the cherry on top.
Havertz scored a strong volley to secure a 5-0 victory for his new team after receiving a cross from Marquinhos.
After the game, captain Martin Odegaard shared a photo of himself and Havertz on Instagram Stories.
