Paul Merson, a former Arsenal striker, praised Mykhailo Mudryk of Chelsea after the Ukrainian attacker registered the first goal of his career for the team.
In the exciting 4-3 victory against Brighton on Saturday, the ex Shakhtar Donetsk attacker scored for the Blues.

The attacker left Shakhtar Donetsk in January and signed an eight-year deal at Stamford Bridge.

During the limited matches he appeared before the season's finish, the 22-year-old did not perform well.

The summer series match between Mauricio Pochettino's team and Brighton, however, was a turning point in Mudyrk's fortunes.

During the friendly preseason competition in the United States, the two teams fought.

In the 65th minute, Mudryk wonderfully netted his first goal for the Blues when Nicolas Jackson set him up.

After Mudryk netted his first goal, Merson praised him on Twitter, writing:  “What a goal Mudryk. Could be the goal that kick-starts his Chelsea career.”
