19 years old Carney Chukwuemeka set to miss six weeks of action after undergoing knee surgery

Chelsea confirm that Carney Chukwuemeka will be out for six weeks after he suffered a knee injury. 

If you recall that Carney Chukwuemeka sustained an injury to his left knee during Chelsea's Premier league game against West Ham United on Sunday.

The Blues suffered 3-1 defeat to ten men West Ham at the London stadium in their match day 2 fixture. 

Carney Chukwuemeka equalised for Chelsea after West Ham took the lead from header by Hammer defender. 

But the teenage forward was substituted after he collided with West Ham Soucek, he was unable to continue the game. 

Chelsea have confirmed that "Last night Carney underwent surgery and will now begin his rehabilitation at Cobham."

Recalled that Carney Chukwuemeka joined Chelsea last summer from Aston Villa during the beginning of Todd Boehly reign as Chelsea new owner
