"My Backside Is Fine" - What Michelle Alozie Said After Lauren James Challenge

Nigerian defender Michelle Alozie said she is feeling OK despite a tackle by Lauren James that resulted in a suspension.

James made a careless challenge, knocking Alozie to the ground, and then stomped on the Houston Dash player's buttocks.

Recall that the Falcons were eliminated from the competition after losing a 4-2 penalty shootout.

Lauren James, a forward for the Lionesses, was dismissed from the game for stamping on Michelle Alozie's buttock.

Lauren was first given a yellow card, but after a VAR review, she was dismissed.

Alozie assured reporters that he was alright, however he was taken aback by James' response to the tackle.

"It was good for us. James is a really good player. And her reset was a really big thing for us. We didn't want her to move freely and get the shots that she usually does. It was good that we got her out of the game," she said, as quoted by Goal.

"I was a bit surprised by her reaction to the tackle. I don't think it was needed. I'm fine, my backside is fine from her stepping on it! I was a bit confused at first. I didn't understand what was happening at first. There's no hard feelings, it's just a game."
