Chelsea's new signing Moises Caicedo gives up a penalty in his debut as Chelsea lose 3-1 to West Ham

Moises Caicedo had an unimpressive start for Chelsea, conceding a penalty in a 3-1 loss to West Ham.

Nayef Aguerd had opened the score from a James Ward-Prowse corner before being sent off for two yellow cards.

Carney Chukwuemeka equalized with his first professional goal before Michail Antonio put West Ham ahead.

In the 90th minute, after Lucas Paqueta had converted his penalty, West Ham added a third goal to complete the win. 

However, Moises Caicedo's performance, who had a terrible debut match, was a big high point. 

Following the completion of a £115 million transfer to the Blues, the Ecuadorian international became the most expensive player in Premier League history.

In Chelsea's second game of the campaign, the 21-year-old began on the bench and replaced Ben Chilwell in the second half.

But he had the worst start imaginable, pulling down Emerson Palmieri awkwardly with a slack leg left outside the area.

Lucas Paqueta completed the victory for the Hammers in stoppage time after the referee was forced to gesture to the spot.
