Ainsley Maitland-Niles, a former midfielder for Arsenal, has accepted a free move to Ligue 1 team Lyon.
Following his contract with the Gunners ended in June, the 25-year-old departed the club after 132 appearances.
According to reports, Maitland-Niles and Lyon have agreed to a four-year contract that will last until 2027.
Maitland-Niles lifted the FA Cup during his time at Arsenal in the 2019–20 season, however under new Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, he was demoted.
Just before a six-month loan with Italian side Roma, the 25-year-old midfielder played in only eight Premier League games in the 2021–22 season.
Maitland-Niles, however, played 26 times for Southampton throughout his whole loan season there last year.
