Former Chelsea and Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa scores twice for Brazilian Serie A leader Botafogo on his debut. Diego Costa, a recent addition to Botafogo, scored two goals in a 3-0 victory over Bahia over the weekend. After spending the previous season at Wolves, the 34-year-old Spanish striker joined the Brazilian Serie A top this summer on a free transfer. From 2014 through 2018, Diego Costa played for Chelsea. He scored 58 goals throughout the period, winning two Premier League championships and one EFL Cup. Apparently, Botafogo leads Palmeiras by 11 points in the Brazilian Serie A standings.
