Liverpool's new signing Wataru Endo handed shirt no 3

Wataru Endo, a midfielder from Japan, has been officially signed by Liverpool from Bundesliga team Stuttgart.

The Japanese international who was spotted clutching jersey number 3 has also had his shirt number verified by the Reds.

Jurgen Klopp has been unable to acquire a midfielder to replace the likes of Jordan Henderson and Fabinho, who left for Saudi Arabia this summer.

Liverpool pursued Endo after failing to recruit Moises Caiceido and Romeo Lavia, both of whom joined Chelsea.

The 30-year-old Japanese international has agreed to a four-year, £16.2 million contract that would keep him at Anfield until 2027.

Endo, who spent four seasons at Stuttgart and made 133 appearances and 15 goals there, will join Liverpool.
