Luis Rubiales' unwillingness to quit after blaming

Spanish Women's World Cup champions are once again calling for Spanish FA President Luis Rubiales to quit following his failure to do so in the wake of the Jenni Hermoso kissing controversy. This has infuriated the Spain team even more.

According to reports, Spanish men's and women's players promptly denounced His reluctance to step down on Twitter, with one player, men's defender Borja Iglesias, leaving the national team in protest at Rubiales staying in charge.

Two-time Ballon d'Or winner Alexis Putellas, as well as World Cup champion teammates Cata Coll, Aitana Bonmati, and Irene Paredes, have all publicly defended Jenni Hermoso, the athlete Rubiales kissed on the lips at the World Cup final trophy ceremony.

After the World Cup final, Rubiales kissed Jenni Hermoso and grabbed his crotch close to the Spanish queen and her daughter, 16, drawing criticism and calls for his resignation.

He resisted giving up today in a passionate speech in which he ascribed the supposed witch hunt against him to "false feminism."
