Josko Gvardiol, a defender from RB Leipzig, has been acquired by Manchester City in a transaction of £77.6 million.
For the 23/24 season, City has revealed that the 21-year-old defender will also sport the number 24 jersey.
Following Mateo Kovacic's transfer from Chelsea, Gvardiol is Manchester City's second Croatian acquisition this summer.
Gvardiol made 41 appearances for Leipzig last season, contributing significantly to the German team's third-place finish in the league and Champions League qualification. Notably, he even scored a goal in the first leg of their Champions League round of 16 matchup versus City.
Gvardiol excelled for Croatia at the World Cup in Qatar, contributing with a critical goal in the third-place play-off final against Morocco after also making an impression on the international scene.
