Manchester United have announce exit of Fred as 30-year-old midfielder joins Turkish side Fenerbahce

Manchester United confirms that Fred's move has been agreed upon with Fenerbahce.

The Brazilian international has agreed to personal terms and has been given international permission to transfer to the Turkish Super Lig.

According to reports, Manchester United has agreed to Turkish club Fenerbahce's offer of 15 million euros (£12.9 million) for midfielder Fred.

The 30-year-old midfielder has been informed that Erik ten Hag, the manager of United, is unlikely to use him in an important position this season. 

Fred has been given the go-ahead to go to Turkey to undertake a medical at Fenerbahce, Manchester United said in a statement only moments ago. 

Last season, Fred played in 56 games for United and scored six goals, helping Ten Hag's team finish third in the Premier League and qualify for the Champions League once again.

The Brazilian international has appeared 139 times for the Red Devils with eight goals and seven assists.
