Manchester United Legends makes premier league prediction that would excites Man United and Chelsea fans

In an interview conducted recently with Betfair, formal Manchester United striker, Dimitar Berbatov makes a rather bold claim as to the two teams who are likely to win the 2023-2024 premier league season that kick off this weekend. 

This prediction would not sit well with Arsenal who missed out from the top position to Manchester City. And who see themselves as gunning for the top of the premier league this coming season.

Manchester United, who struggle at some point last season came third, a position they're glad they get, at least if not for anything else but for the fact that they are into the coveted champions league next season 

Chelsea on the other hand had a very woeful season last campaign that saw them finished in the 12th position. But coming into this season they have brought in a top coach in the person of Mauricio Pochettino. They have also made some decent signing and will be hoping to fight for the title just like other teams in the league. 

Tottenham Hotspur who also missed out on the top four and any European competitions will also be looking to cause an upset with their head coach Ange Postecoglou

In anticipation of a tightly contested season, Berbatov suggests that Manchester City's dominance might be challenged by either Chelsea or United. Speaking to BetFair, the ex-Red Devils forward elaborated on how the Blues could stage a rapid comeback to the spotlight.

"I won't say Manchester City again," said Berbatov. "I obviously want Manchester United to win the Premier League title. I think the Premier League champions will be Manchester United or Chelsea.

"I love the underdog story with Chelsea, especially when you don't see it coming. I like Pochettino as a coach too, I want to see him succeed in England with a trophy."
