Mason Greenwood will no longer play for Manchester United after club confirms his contract will be terminated

Mason Greenwood and Manchester United have mutually decided that the striker's future will not be at Manchester United.
The 22-year-old, who was detained in January 2022 on suspicion of many crimes, including attempted rape, will no longer play for the team and is either expected to go on loan or have his contract resolved.

The charges were later dismissed by the Crown Prosecution Service in February of this year as a result of key witnesses quitting and the discovery of fresh evidence.

But since his arrest, Greenwood hasn't played for United, who have their own investigation going. Now that inquiry is over. United determined that Greenwood did not commit the offenses for which he was accused, but they also came to the conclusion that it would be best for everyone if he left Old Trafford in the future.
