Michael Olise signed a new deal with Crystal Palace, committing his future to the club despite Chelsea triggering his release clause.

If you recall that Michael Olise's £35 million release clause at Crystal Palace was triggered by Chelsea, but the winger chose to sign a new deal rather than forego the opportunity to join the Blues.

On Thursday afternoon, Palace chair Steve Parish announced that the forward agreed new deal, sharing a photo himself sharing a handshake with Olise.

After Chelsea exercised his £35 million release clause, the 21-year-old was generally anticipated to sign with them. But things have taken another turn since he extended contract with Crystal Palace

Olise, who spent seven years in Chelsea's system, reportedly has no desire to go back to Stamford Bridge.

Meanwhile, Olise's new four-year deal with Palace would pay him £100,000 per week.

The Nigerian-born French international will captain the Eagles against Arsenal this weekend at Selhurst Park.
