The Spain Women's National side defeated Switzerland Women's National Team on Saturday morning in the round of 16 of the current 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup, making them the first side to advance to the quarterfinals.
Since the start of the competition, Spain's women's national team has excelled, and on Saturday morning, they were able to do so once more.
In their opening match, the squad stunned Costa Rica's women's national team, winning 3-0. In their second match, they easily defeated Zambia's women's national team, winning 5-0, before falling to Japan's women's national team during their final group stage match.
The Spain Women's National Team beat their opponent with the help of strikes by Alba Maria Redondo Ferrer, Laia Codina, Jenifer Hermoso, plus two goals from Aitana Bonmati.
