Declan Rice seems to have adapted well to life at Arsenal, and his recent performance against Manchester United seemed significant.
Recall that Rice joined Arsenal for club record fee of 105m pounds from West Ham in the just concluded 2023 transfer window.
Rice scored his debut goal for Arsenal against Manchester United last weekend in the Premier League.
Late in the game, Rice scored the game-winning goal, before Gabriel Jesus netted the third in Arsenal’s 3-1 win.
Rice has disclosed how Mikel Arteta pulled a little joke on him as soon as he came, which contributed significantly to his integration.
Rice addressed a few issues related to his transfer to Arsenal when speaking on the Tubes and Ange Golf Life channel.
In addition, Rice said that Arteta had collared him outside the hospital room and forced him to wear a newbie sticker on his chest while talking about his first day at his new club.
“I was a bit nervous. The first day I was down there on the Sunday, the lads weren’t in but I come out of the physio room and Arteta, just like little things he does, he put like a sticker on me saying ‘hello I’m the new person’. He just walked in and put it on my chest. All the 18s and 21s in the canteen and I’m walking through trying to hide my chest. Just little things like that,” Rice said.
Meanwhile Declan Rice was called up for Three Lions of England squad for the international duty.
The 24-year-old started in England's 1-1 draw against Ukraine in the Euro Qualifiers match on Saturday.
