I quit being involved in Marlian Music in 2019 — Gucci Branch, once associated with Naira Marley

An colleague of Marlian Music Boss Afeez Fashola alias Naira Marley, Abubakar Musa, called Gucci Branch, has clarified the situation about his affiliation with the record company.

Since last week, Marlian Music has been in the news as a result of the unexpected passing of a former signee, Ilerioluwa Aloba, nicknamed MohBad, on last Tuesday. 

Following his arrest alongside Naira Marley, singer Omoniyi Raphael, aka Zlatan Ibile, fashion entrepreneur Rahman Jago, and two others by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency in 2019, Musa, who has kept a low profile since 2019, reemerged to deny affiliations with the Marlian Music gang in an X post on Wednesday. 

He said, "I heard they are searching for me, why are people searching for me? 

"I ran for my life since 2019, I'm lowkey now. 

"I am not part of the Marlians neither am I affiliated with Zlatan Ibile or Jago. I am on my own."
