“It’s my responsibility, because of me we didn’t win"- Andre Onana blames himself after Man Utd defeat to Bayern Munich

Manchester goalkeeper Andre Onana has decided to apologise to fans after the team's defeat to Bayern Munich.

Manchester United poor away form continued after they lost 4-3 against Bayern Munich. 

The Red Devils travelled to the Allianz Arena stadium for their opening group stage match in the UCL.

But Erik Den Hag side left Germany without a point after his number one shot stopper conceded four goals. 

Leroy Sane shot slipped through the gloves of Onana to give Bayern Munich the lead then Serge Gnabry made it 2-0 with a close range finish. 

Manchester United pulled a goal back in the second half from debutant Rasmus Hojlund after his shot found the back of the net. 

But Harry Kane struck from six yards following a penalty call by VAR. Christian Eriksen was judged to have handled the ball with his arm in the box while trying to defend a shot. 

Erik Den Hag side kept the score line respectable when Casemiro's scored the second goal for United but substitute Mathias Tel scored the fourth. 

Bruno Fernandes late free kick made it 4-3 at the end of the 90th-minute. 

It was gathered that the in order to apologize for his error against Bayern Munich, Andre Onana sought post-game interviews with Champions League broadcasters.

The former Inter Milan goalkeeper blamed himself for his team's performance. 

He said, “It’s my responsibility, because of me we didn’t win — and I have to learn from it”.

Andre Onana hasn't enjoyed a great start at Old Trafford stadium since he joined this summer 

Erik Den Hag decided to reunite with his former goalie at Ajax, signing him from Inter Milan while he allowed David De Gea leave on free transfer. 

Onana added, “I have a lot to prove, because to be honest my start in Man United is not so good”.
