The security for Lionel Messi didn't want to take any risks, so he reacted quickly when a spectator rushed onto the field on Sunday.
A supporter barged onto the pitch during Inter Miami's 3-1 victory against Los Angeles FC Sunday night and made a beeline for the World Cup champion.
The field invader was quickly grabbed around the neck by Messi's bodyguard, who sprang to the defense of his charge.

The fan, who was sporting a Barcelona shirt, got to approach the forward and even started to throw his arms around him in an effort to embrace the soccer legend.
However, Messi's security was able to tear the intruder away, almost strangling him in the process, before two staff members showed there to assist in escorting him away.
Messi seemed unaffected by the incident as he contributed two assists to the Herons' victory against the defending MLS Cup winners.
