Liverpool's Virgil van Dijk has been suspended for an extra game for abusing Ref

Liverpool star Virgil van Dijk set to miss another week due to suspension. 

If you recall that the Dutch international was, shown a straight red card following his challenge on Alexander Isak of Newcastle. 

Although, Reds came from a goal down to beat the Magpies 2-1 all thanks to Darwin Nunez brace from the beach. 

Meanwhile Virgil van Dijk was given an additional game's suspension for using 'abusive and disrespectful' words toward the referee after receiving a red card against Newcastle.

The Dutch international will be absent from Liverpool's upcoming game against Wolves on September 16.
