Manchester City defender Joao Cancelo has joined Barcelona on loan

Joao Cancelo will be on loan to Manchester City from Barcelona till June 30, 2024, under an agreement agreed by the two parties. 

It has been learned that a permanent transfer is not a possibility. 

Cancelo has experience playing for a number of prestigious teams in Europe, including five European Champions. 

With Benfica, where he began his career, Joao won the league, the domestic cup, the league cup, as well as a Super Cup.  

Cancelo was Pep Guardiola's most important player up to their falling out last season. 

As Pep Guardiola started to favor other younger players, the Portugal full back began to get less playing time. 

Joao Cancelo agreed to join Bayern Munich on a temporary basis until the conclusion of the previous season, but the Bavarians were unable to make the transfer permanent due to Man City's demand.
