Joao Felix signed a two-year deal with Atlético Madrid, and Barcelona has announced that he has joined on a season-long loan.

A deal has been made between Barcelona and Atlético Madrid for the player Joao Félix to be loaned out until June 30, 2024. A permanent transfer is not a possibility.
Joao Félix made his first team debut for Benfica during the 2018–19 season at the young age of 18, launching himself into the spotlight. The midfielder quickly established himself as a regular starter for the club with its headquarters in Lisbon. Félix had a fantastic season, contributing seven assists in addition to 15 goals as Benfica won the championship.
He participated in 43 games across all tournaments, mesmerizing the crowd with his skill and ingenuity in the final third of the field. He was voted the Golden Boy winner that year, and both Pedri and Gavi went on to win the award.
The Portuguese striker, whose contract with Atlético Madrid has been extended for a further two seasons, has consented to join Barcelona on loan.
Joao Félix, who joined Atlético de Madrid from Benfica in the summer of 2019 when he was 19 years old, has made a total of 131 official games for the rojiblancos, contributing 18 assists and 34 goals in the process. Before spending the second half of the 21/22 season on loan at Chelsea, he had seven of those goals and six of them assists during the 20/21 season, helping Atletico Madrid win their eleventh league championship.
