Balogun Eletu, also known as Sam Larry, a socialite and music promoter, was detained by the Nigeria Police Force, Lagos State Command, at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Ikeja in connection with the passing of the late artist Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad.
It was discovered that Sam Larry had been detained by the police as part of their continuing investigation into the circumstances surrounding Mohbad's death.
Meanwhile, late on Thursday night, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the public relations officer for the Lagos State Police Command, verified the news on the X platform, previously Twitter.
If you remember, the police had already asked Sam Larry and musician Azeez Fashola, nicknamed Naira Marley, to testify about the death of Mohbad.
While they wait for the results, the police last week also revealed that pathologists had completed the autopsy of Mohbad.
It was stated that the nurse who allegedly gave the dead musician an injection just before he passed away on Tuesday, September 12, had also been detained by the authorities.
After Naira Marley declared his intention to go back to Nigeria to demonstrate his innocence in relation to Mohbad's killing, provided that his safety was ensured, Sam Larry was apprehended.
