Plague Cup: Mikel Arteta's Predicted Arsenal Lineup vs. Brentford

This Wednesday night, Arsenal will play Brentford at the Brentford Community Stadium in an attempt to advance to the third round of the EFL Cup. The Gunners will be keen to go back to winning ways in this midweek cup encounter on the road after being held to a 2-2 draw in the North London derby last weekend.

For this match, Mikel Arteta will set up his team in a 4-3-3 shape and is predicted to make a ton of changes to his starting lineup. In this EFL Cup match, Emile Smith Rowe, Jakub Kiwior, and Aaron Ramsdale may all be available to play right away.

For the North London team, Aaron Ramsdale will man the net in an effort to keep the scoreless away from home. William Saliba and Jakub Kiwior will get an opportunity to work together in the heart of Arsenal's defense as they try to silence the Brentford attackers for the whole 90 minutes.

As the right-back, Cedric Soares will aim to establish his value, while as the left-back, Takehiro Tomiyasu will want to create an impression. Both of them would be expected by Arteta to maintain a strong defense and make an effort to provide the front players with some respectable service.

While providing cover for the defensive positions, Gabriel will be given a break on the bench.

Kai Havertz, Mohamed Elneny, and Jorginho will make up Arteta's midfield three. All three of them would be given orders to control the ball in the middle of the field and to create a few significant chances in the final third.

Martin Odegaard and Fabio Vieira will be starting from the bench as they wait for a possible chance to make a difference in the game in the second half.

While Reiss Nelson expects to do well on the right side, Emile Smith Rowe may have the opportunity to flourish as the left winger.

Arteta's assault up top will once again be led by Eddie Nketiah. In the middle of the week, he will be responsible for scoring the majority of his team's goals.

Bukayo Saka will have to be satisfied with a position on the bench and might make a difference if Arsenal still needs to score late in the game.
