Following his club's loss on Saturday night, hitmen killed the president of a second division soccer team in Colombia with a lethal shooting.

Edgar Paez, the manager of Tigres de Bogota since 2016, had been attacked by two individuals on a white motorcycle as he was returning from the club's Metropolitano de Techo stadium in the nation's capital.

Four bullets were fired into the 63-year-old's neck and head, and despite being taken quickly to the Mederi Clinic, Paez passed away from the severity of his wounds at the hospital.

Prior to the assault, the two hitmen are believed to have been following the car that Paez and his daughter, who was riding in the passenger seat, were using. They then sped away from the area.

The altercation, which was captured by several security cameras on Avenida de las Americas where the incident occurred, left Paez's daughter unharmed.
