PSG star Achraf Hakimi pictured donating his blood to victims of earthquake in Morocco

Achraf Hakimi, a star for Paris Saint-Germain, said on social media that he is giving blood to help those affected by the earthquake in Morocco.

The full back has been demonstrating his support for the families affected by the devastating earthquake in his nation. 

He posted pictures of himself donating his blood as h gave thumb up for the camera. The PSG star wrote: "In fact, the priority is that the person who sang to someone who was exposed to criticism in a situation. The donation of sound is the responsibility of the chacun to save the largest number of views possible. Your aid is indispensable." 

It was gathered The earthquake that occurred late on Friday night in Morocco's High Atlas highlands caused damage to ancient structures in Marrakech, the closest city to the epicentre, but the majority of the casualties were recorded in hilly regions to the south.

According to official media, a strong earthquake with a magnitude of 6.8 rocked Morocco, leaving at least 1,037 people dead and 1,200 wounded.

Achraf Hakimi added: "This time, the priority is to give blood to people in critical situations. Donating blood is everyone's responsibility to save as many lives as possible. Your help is needed" 

According to reports, the earthquake occurred just after 11 p.m. local time (22:00 GMT). 

Following a fatal earthquake that left most of the nation in ruins, Morocco announced three days of mourning.
