Following a small injury issue during the international break, Mikel Arteta stated that Arsenal will monitor the Brazilian defender's fitness over the coming weeks.
Mikel Arteta has acknowledged that during their next games, Arsenal would need to be "aware" of a problem Gabriel Magalhaes developed during the break in international play.
When Brazil faced Bolivia in the first match of their World Cup qualification campaign, the 25-year-old made his complete debut.
However, Magalhaes raised questions when he was seen with an ice pack on his thigh after being removed during the 85th minute.
Meanwhile Gabriel Magalhaes participated in Arsenal's training session on Friday at London Colney in preparation for their matchup with Everton this weekend in the Premier League.
‘We have good contact with the national teams," he said in his pre-match press conference. "Gabby had a little issue but he managed to play the second game, so it’s something obviously for the next sequence of matches we have to be aware."
Arsenal travel to the Goodison Park on Sunday evening. The game is expected to kick off at 4:30pm GMT.
