Bukayo Saka and William Saliba are among the Arsenal squad for the match against Chelsea

Mikel Arteta will be hopeful that Arsenal's victory against Chelsea would help them advance in their quest for the Premier League championship.

Due to injuries, Bukayo Saka, William Saliba, and Leandro Trossard all missed games with their respective nations.

Jurrien Timber, a summer acquisition for the Gunners, is the sole long-term casualty. It's doubtful that the Dutchman will play for Arsenal until the latter part of the year.

The injuries Saka sustained in the Champions League seemed to be serious. He seemed to be making good improvement, however.

Saka had started 83 consecutive Premier League games for Arsenal before being forced out of the Manchester City triumph due to injury. Perhaps it was a subtle reminder to Arteta that one of his main men is simply human, despite the fact that his character and desires could never be brought into the open.
