Erik ten Hag has announced that Casemiro will miss Manchester United's Premier League match this weekend.
The Red Devils will play bottom-of-the-table Sheffield United on Saturday at Bramall Lane.
In their matchup with The Blades, who have been suffering since their return to the English Premier League, Manchester United will be looking to come out on top.
Casemiro won't be going with the club, Erik ten Hag said at a press conference on Friday.
It was discovered that Brazilian suffered a knock while representing his nation abroad and would be sidelined for some time.
Raphael Varane and Sergio Reguilon, two defenders who were injured, are now available for Manchester United, whereas Sofyan Amrabat is also available despite missing both of Morocco's games.
"Rapha Varane is back, so I think, especially in the backline, I’m very happy with Rapha back and Sergio back,” Ten Hag said on Friday during press conference.
“That’s very good news, of course. It’s disappointing that Casemiro picked up an injury but it’s not too bad.
“I’m sure and confident he will be back for the next games, so very short notice. The good thing is also that Sofyan Amrabat is available.”
Tyrell Malacia, Lisandro Martinez, Luke Shaw, and Aaron Wan-Bissaka are all expected to miss the trip due to the Reds' ongoing defensive difficulties.
