"Farmers league strikes again" - Ligue 1 mocks Arsenal afternoon Lens defeated the Gunners in Champions League

Ligue 1 is full of jokes after Lens upset Arsenal in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday night.

The French team's first Champions League home match in 20 years ended with Lens winning after a comeback, defeating Arsenal for the first time this season.

Gabriel Jesus' early goal gave the Gunners the advantage, but Adrien Thomasson's equalizer after David Raya's errant pass caused them to lose the lead.

On the night, Mikel Arteta's team narrowly met expectations. When Bukayo Saka hobbled off the field, things for Arsenal quickly became ugly. 

Just over 20 minutes remained when Sepe Wahi scored the game-winning goal for Lens.

Following the victory, the official Ligue 1 X account shared a post mocking the Gunners, citing the popular phrase that the French League is referred to as "Farmer's League"
