Nigerian singer Rema thrilled several footballers, coaches and celebrity guests at the 2023 Ballon d'Or gala night

It was learnt that the award took place last night in France where Lionel Messi picked up his eight Men's Best player.

The 36-year-old legendary footballer played a significant role in Argentina winning the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Meanwhile, singer Rema performed at the event as he sang some of his hit songs to the invited guests.

It's been gathered that Rema becomes the first African Artiste to perform at the Ballon D'Or ceremony.
