Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard tells Gabriel Jesus to give Kai Havertz penalty in order to score first goal for the Gunners
The "emotional" moment when Kai Havertz scored his first goal for the team was praised by ARSENAL supporters.
In his eighth game for the team, Havertz eventually scored his first goal, converting the penalty kick in the 53rd minute.
According to reports, Gabriel Jesus and Captain Martin Odegaard seemed to debate allowing Havertz take the penalty.
The score at the time was 2-0 in favor of Arsenal.
It seemed as if Gabriel Jesus or vice-captain Martin Odegaard would take the second penalty after converting from the spot in the first half.
Odegaard and Jesus were speaking as cameras were rolling, and it seemed like the Gunners captain was suggesting that Havertz take the pen.
Then, Kai Havertz deservedly scored, sending Bournemouth goalkeeper Neto the wrong way to put Arsenal up 3-0.
When Havertz scored his first goal while wearing a Gunners jersey, almost the whole squad raced up to join in on the celebrations, making it obvious how much it meant to him and his teammates.
Prior to playing Man City at the weekend, Arsenal will play Lens away in the UEFA Champions League the following week.
