The 2023 Africa Cup of Nations Cote d'Ivoire official match ball has been unveiled.
According to reports, the official match ball, POKOU, is named after the renowned striker Laurent Pokou of Ivory Coast.
Pokou is a legendary figure in African football, and his five goals in the 6-1 triumph against Ethiopia in the Final match of the 1970 edition of the tournament still stand as a record.
Following the lengthy deal between CAF and Puma was disclosed just before the Africa Cup of Nations Final Draw in Abidjan
The formal release of the ball is yet another significant event before the actual game on January 13, 2024.
