Adebayo Salami, also referred to as "Oga Bello," discusses his more than 40-year battle with hypertension.
Adebayo Salami, better known by his stage as Oga Bello, is a Nollywood actor and film producer who has been outspoken about his health struggles.
The legend stated that he has been fighting hypertension for more than 40 years in an exclusive interview with Nigerian Tribune.
The Yoruba movie star said that growing older is usually accompanied by a number of health issues, which he has come to terms with. To live the remainder of his life in good health, he is requesting God's favor.
Oga Bello said that he can still perform in movies and produce them despite his health issues and that he would keep doing so.
Speaking about his health issue, he said that since he was 28 years old, he has been suffering hypertension.
"At this age, I still have the ability to produce and act in movies. In fact, I just finished producing my movie. It is a fact that you can’t attain this age and not nurse one ailment or the other.
“I have been battling with hypertension for more than 40 years and I have lived with it. To God be the glory, I am still alive and well. I will continue to pray to God for grace to live the rest of my life in good health and happiness.”
