Clarifying the Misconception: Video Reveal of Adeleke's Encounter with Ooni at Ondo Event
Contrary to widespread claims suggesting that Ademola Adeleke, Governor of Osun State, snubbed a handshake from the revered Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, during a recent event in Ondo State, a revealing video has surfaced, debunking the alleged incident.
A video shared by former presidential aspirant, Dele Momodu, on Thursday through X, showcases Adeleke's respectful greeting towards the monarch, exchanging warm pleasantries before returning to his seat, contrary to the misconceived notion.
Dismissing the circulating social media video purportedly displaying Adeleke's disrespectful conduct towards the Ooni at a public function, the Osun State Government called upon the public on Wednesday to disregard such misleading content.
Momodu's caption accompanying the video provided further context and clarification, "The Ooni met Governor Adeleke at the Ondo event and came to greet the governor. After some time, the governor said we should go and greet the Ooni. Most of the camera people were not present so they only captured the tail end. Fortunately, we found one."
