Arsenal star, Leandro Trossard has been causing a stir, notably leaving his wife, Laura Hilven, disheartened before every Arsenal match despite her regular presence in the stands to support him.
It was learnt that while many footballers often acknowledge their loved ones in the crowd before a game begins, Trossard stands apart by deliberately refraining from seeking out his wife, much to her dismay.
The former Brighton forward refusal to look up towards his family has become a source of irritation for Laura, revealing a peculiar rift between the couple in the public eye.
Amidst the public spectacle, Laura Hilven, Trossard's steadfast supporter, has shown unwavering dedication to her husband's career. She proudly expressed her sentiments on social media, affirming her unwavering support for Trossard as "that's my man" following his transfer to Arsenal.
The 28-year-old said, "My missus even tells me before the game that I wouldn’t even look up to see where my family is because I’m so focused on the game.
"I enjoy that 90-95 minutes that I get, or if you’re on the bench, 20 minutes, that’s all I play for."
The relationship between Trossard and Laura goes back several years, as they initially crossed paths in 2014 and formalized their union four years ago. Their family has since expanded, welcoming two sons, Thiago, aged 6, and Amadeo, born in January of the present year.
Throughout the current season, Trossard's performances for the Gunners have been noteworthy, having made 14 appearances and scoring six goals.
He added, "I’m a pretty relaxed guy. For me, it’s quite easy, I just focus on football and enjoying my game and that’s all I care about.
"If you can be on that pitch and give something back to the supporters, it’s the most beautiful feeling."
