Arsenal make an early squad announcement for the West Ham cup match, with Emile Smith Rowe's choice

Arsenal have made an early selection announcement for their Carabao Cup match against West Ham on Wednesday night.

After being competitive on all three fronts so far, the Gunners will be hoping to stay in the race and contend for silverware this season.

The North London team is now ranked second on the Premier League standings and is one of the teams fighting early for the championship.

They have faced some difficult obstacles since returning to Champions League competition, but after two victories from their first three games, they lead their group at the halfway point.

But with injury and fitness issues hanging over him, there will be some important choices to be made about when he lines up against the Hammers. 

Emile Smith Rowe is one of the players who the manager might continue to start with from the previous game. 

Arsenal released a pre-match hype graphic on social media with the 23-year-old as the primary picture, hinting to a possible start for him. Smith Rowe may not necessarily be included, since certain celebrities sometimes appear in graphics without really being in them.

There is some optimism that Smith Rowe may be given another opportunity to return to his peak performance, although it is unclear which side Arteta would choose.
