Renowned Nigerian music sensation, Davido, recently disclosed the behind-the-scenes details of his creative process for his highly acclaimed Timeless album.
Speaking to Punch, Davido revealed that a significant portion of the album was recorded within the intimate confines of his residence, where he resides alongside his wife.
The singer highlighted the profound impact of this domestic environment, expressing that the experience of crafting the album while secluded with his wife served as a therapeutic journey for him.
Detailing the circumstances, Davido stated, "I recorded most of the Timeless album in my house, where I live with my wife. At the time, it was only me, her, and her sisters, and I had one of my boys staying with me. It gave me time to calm down. It was a healing process because I was happy to be making music once again, and I was very excited about the prospect it brought. At the time, I just felt like an artist who had just gotten a new record deal."
This setting emerged as a sanctuary where Davido found solace, rekindled his creative energies, and rediscovered his passion for making music.
The environment of his home became instrumental in fostering a renewed artistic vigor, akin to the enthusiasm of a newly signed artist embarking on a groundbreaking musical journey.
