Sean Combs, renowned as P Diddy in the American rap scene, has come to an agreement with his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura, effectively resolving the contentious rape and assault allegations she raised against him.
Less than a day after the bombshell lawsuit amounting to $30 million was filed, the former couple opted for an amicable settlement.
Cassie's lawsuit against the rapper detailed disturbing accusations, citing instances of physical, sexual, and emotional abuse throughout their extensive ten-year relationship.
The singer alleged coercive sexual encounters orchestrated by Diddy involving male prostitutes, with claims of Diddy's active participation, recording, and voyeurism.
Despite Diddy's attorney refuting these claims as a mere financial pursuit, reports indicate that he chose to fulfill Cassie's requested damages sum of $30 million.
Cassie, also known as Casandra Ventura, confirmed the resolution in a statement to the New York Times on Friday evening.
“I have decided to resolve this matter amicably on terms that I have some level of control. I want to thank my family, fans, and lawyers for their unwavering support,” she said.
Similarly, Sean Combs, publicly recognized as Diddy, corroborated the resolution in a statement to the same news outlet, expressing his well wishes for her post their decision to settle the case outside the judicial sphere.
His statement read, “We have decided to resolve this matter amicably. I wish Cassie and her family all the best. Love.”
