Mikel Arteta has pricoded fitness update on Bukayo Saka ahead of their Premier League encounter this weekend.
The Gunners will host Burnley at the Emirates stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Mikel Arteta is hopeful that the 21-year-old forward will be available for the EPL match against Vincent Kompany side.
It was said that Bukayo came off in the 85th minute of Wednesday’s 2-0 win at home to Sevilla in the UEFA Champions League.
Saka who won the man of the match, creating an assist and scoring, sustained a knock due to kicks from the Sevilla players.
Speaking to the media this afternoon, Arteta said that player left the pitch due to pains.
“B had to leave the pitch because he was in quite a lot of pain,” he explained.
Mikel Arteta also confirmed that Saka didn't train with the team this afternoon but he remain positive that he will be available on Saturday.
He added, “He didn't train yesterday and let's see if he can make it tomorrow.”
Meanwhile Arteta hinted that Martin Odegaard is working to be back in the team.
The 24-year-old midfielder has missed the last few weeks due to an injury.
It's not yet confirmed if Odegaard will be fit for the Burnley but the midfielder was included in the Norway squad for the upcoming international break.
Also, Mikel confirmed that Jurrien Timber and Thomas Partey are both unavailable.
Jurrien Timber is still recovering after he tore his ACL on the opening game of the season while Partey is struggling with groin.
Emile Smith Rowe sustained an injury in training and Arteta said he will “probably” miss out this week as well.
